Foundation for Health Equity (F4HE) and The Sarah Ralston Foundation are joining forces to host a networking and informational meeting for nonprofits serving seniors in Philadelphia. Bethany Flood, Executive Director of Foundation for Health Equity, and Lynette Killen, Executive Director of The Sarah Ralston Foundation, will share insights from the State’s “Aging Our Way” 10-year plan aimed at addressing the needs of older adults, along with a draft of the newest “Area Plan” from the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging.
“Both foundations provide grant funding for nonprofits serving Philadelphia’s vulnerable older adults,” said Killen. “We are eager to review the State and City plans alongside our collective grantees and facilitate an open discussion about the content, as well as explore any challenges our partners and their clients may encounter in the coming months and years.”
“Not only will the event offer an opportunity for nonprofits serving seniors to network and share,” added Flood, “but it will also serve as a catalyst for collaboration and collective action to address the needs of our aging population.”
The event, titled “Supporting Older Adults: A Conversation for Nonprofit Agencies,” will take place on Tuesday, June 11th from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at Braid Mill (441 E. High Street, Philadelphia). Space is limited. Interested attendees should RSVP to clynch@sarahralstonfoundation.org with the name of one representative from their organization. Light refreshments will be provided.
