The Sarah Ralston Foundation Board of Directors comprises a dedicated group of prominent local and national leaders who share a deep passion for supporting older adults. Each board member brings unique expertise, a shared commitment to carrying out the foundation’s mission, and a strong desire to create meaningful, lasting change in the Philadelphia community. As the foundation continues to address the most pressing needs of vulnerable older adults, we recognize the invaluable contributions of our board members—past and present—who have been instrumental in guiding our work and amplifying our impact.
This year, we bid a heartfelt farewell to three remarkable individuals who have concluded their terms on the Board of Directors: Randall Braunfeld, Anne Callan, and U. Tara Hayden. Their dedication and leadership have helped shape the foundation’s direction, strengthen partnerships, and build a lasting legacy of service.
- Randall Braunfeld: Randall brought deep financial expertise to the board, leveraging his background in investment analysis to support the foundation’s mission. His passion for giving back to the Philadelphia community, which he cherishes, has left a lasting mark on our work. While Randall has stepped down from the board, we are delighted that he will continue to serve as a valued “community member,” providing ongoing insights and support to the Finance Committee.
- Anne Callan, MPH, PCC: Anne’s expertise in organizational development and strategic planning has been invaluable. Her dedication to aligning leadership with impact has strengthened the foundation’s ethos and its commitment to innovation.
- U. Tara Hayden, MHSA: Tara’s unwavering focus on addressing health inequities and fostering community-based partnerships has amplified the foundation’s ability to support underserved older adults. Her strategic vision and compassionate leadership have been instrumental in advancing our work.
As we honor their service, we are equally thrilled to welcome three new members to the Board of Directors: Sarina Chernock, Alison Corder and Jordan Muse. These leaders bring a wealth of experience, innovative perspectives, and a deep commitment to the foundation’s mission.
- Sarina Chernock, MPA: With a decade of experience in nonprofit leadership and philanthropy, Sarina serves as an Officer for the Pew Fund for Health and Human Services. Her vision for creating a community where older adults are empowered and respected aligns perfectly with the foundation’s goals.
- Alison Corter: A long-time leader at NewCourtland, Alison’s expertise in developing strategic initiatives and fostering innovative partnerships will help propel the foundation’s mission to new heights.
- Jordan N. Muse: As the Philanthropic Partnerships Coordinator at the Patricia Kind Family Foundation and owner of a fitness and wellness business for older adults, Jordan brings a unique perspective on the holistic needs of older Philadelphians and the power of partnerships to create meaningful change.
The Sarah Ralston Foundation’s continued success relies on the dedication, vision, and passion of its board members. We extend our deepest gratitude to Randall, Anne, and Tara for their exceptional service and warmly welcome Sarina, Jordan, and Alison as they join us in advancing our mission. Together, we will work to create a stronger, more equitable community for older adults in Philadelphia.
