The Sarah Ralston Foundation, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for vulnerable, underserved older adults in Philadelphia County, is launching its annual May Fundraiser in honor of Older Americans Month.
The Foundation seeks to address challenges faced by older adults in the community, including access to affordable healthcare, housing and food insecurity, loneliness, and social isolation.
Lynette Killen, Executive Director of The Sarah Ralston Foundation, emphasized the significance of the May Fundraiser in bolstering support for older adults in Philadelphia: “As May approaches, we’re coming together to advocate for the well-being of older adults in our community. Together, we can strive to provide every older adult with the opportunity to age with dignity and grace.”
Through the May Fundraiser, the Foundation aims to raise funds to support organizations that provide essential services and resources to older adults in need. These services range from access to high-quality healthcare and support for caregivers to housing assistance and social connection programs.
The Foundation invites individuals and businesses alike to join in this important initiative by making a donation to the May Fundraiser. Contributions can be made easily through the Foundation’s online donation platform at www.givebutter.com/sarahralstonfoundation.
“Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful impact on the lives of older adults in Philadelphia,” said Killen. By coming together as a community, we can empower older adults to live healthier, happier, and more fulfilling lives.”
Together, let’s make a difference for older adults in Philadelphia!
