The Sarah Ralston Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of its 2026 General Operating Support Grant Program, awarding $979,500 to 58 nonprofit organizations serving older adults throughout Philadelphia. These grants support a diverse network of organizations working every day to help older Philadelphians remain healthy, connected, engaged, and supported in their communities.
“Our nonprofit partners play an essential role in helping older Philadelphians live healthy, stable, connected, and fulfilling lives,” said Heather Finnegan, Executive Director of The Sarah Ralston Foundation. “Through both their direct services and their commitment to advancing equity, these organizations are strengthening aging systems in our city.”
The 2026 grant portfolio reflects many of the themes that have emerged as pressing needs through the Foundation’s “Stronger Together” convenings, including food security, housing stability, and access to culturally responsive services.
Grants will support organizations working to provide homebound food, expand access to affordable housing and home repair, strengthen neighborhood-based senior centers, and provide critical health and social services.
This year’s grantee cohort also prioritizes the social connection needs of Philadelphia’s aging population. Grants will provide a wide range of social supports – including health and wellness programs, lifelong learning opportunities, and caregiver support programs.
The Foundation also continues its commitment to supporting organizations serving immigrant and refugee communities, LGBTQ+ older adults, caregivers, and older adults from a wide range of cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
